Flavoured Tea Characteristics and Benefits
Flavoured teas begin with quality tea leaves that are fully oxidised to build depth, colour in the cup, and a satisfying richness. Depending on the blend, they can taste lively and fruity, or smooth and dessert-like - with options to match every mood and preference. They also contain naturally occurring antioxidants, and many people enjoy them for their uplifting character, helping with focus and providing steady energy thanks to their naturally higher caffeine content.
Loose, Bagged and Iced
Our flavoured teas are available in loose leaf form, with select favourites also offered in pyramid tea bags and iced-tea pouches. To make sampling effortless, our flavoured tea sampler includes single-serve loose leaf portion packs, so you can brew at home, at work, or wherever the day takes you.
Does loose-leaf tea contain caffeine?
Yes - loose leaf flavoured tea can naturally contain caffeine. Black-tea-based blends made from whole leaves typically provide around 40-70 mg of caffeine per cup (about 200 ml). The exact amount varies by tea type, steeping time, and water temperature. If you’d like a lower-caffeine option, explore our decaffeinated black teas or our herbal tea collection.
How long should loose-leaf flavoured tea be steeped for?
Steep loose leaf flavoured black tea for 3-5 minutes in freshly boiled water (100°C). For a stronger, darker cup with bolder flavour, steep a little longer. Shorter steeping times produce a lighter brew.
