Shop online for whole-leaf decaf, or decaffeinated, teas sourced directly from the artisan farmers who tender them. Decaf varieties include Earl Grey, Ceylon and other decaffeinated teas. Our decaf teas are decaffeinated using the superior carbon dioxide (CO2) process, which retains the most flavour and antioxidants. Our direct-trade advantage ensures superior taste, freshness and value.
Enjoy a flavourful and jitter-free experience with our premium loose leaf decaffeinated tea collection. Our decaf range features three favourites - Decaf Ceylon, Decaf Earl Grey, and Decaf Chai - all available in sample sizes so you can find your go-to with ease. Start the day with Decaf Ceylon for a clean, classic cup, reach for Decaf Earl Grey when you fancy bright bergamot citrus over a smooth decaffeinated black base, or choose Decaf Chai for warming masala spices and a cosy, spiced finish - ideal any time you want flavour without the late-night consequences.
Decaffeinated Tea Characteristics and Benefits
Our decaf teas are made from quality tea leaves and decaffeinated using the CO₂ method, designed to gently reduce caffeine while keeping the tea’s body, colour, and flavour intact. The result is a range that still tastes like “real tea” - from brisk and straightforward to citrusy or warmly spiced - while being easier to enjoy throughout the day. Like other true teas, decaf tea also contains naturally occurring antioxidants, making it a comforting option for everyday hydration and a calmer routine.
Loose, Bagged and Iced
Our decaf teas are available in loose leaf form, with selected favourites also offered in pyramid tea bags and iced-tea pouches. For easy sampling, our decaf tea sampler includes single-serve loose leaf portion packs, so you can brew at home, at work, or whenever you want a gentler cup.
Does decaf tea contain caffeine?
Yes - loose leaf decaf tea usually contains a small trace of caffeine. Decaffeinated teas made from whole tea leaves typically contain around 2-6 mg of caffeine per cup (about 250 ml). The exact amount varies by tea type, steeping time, and water temperature. If you’d like to avoid caffeine entirely, choose herbal blends or rooibos and honeybush.
How long should loose-leaf decaf tea be steeped?
Steep loose leaf decaf tea for 3-5 minutes in freshly boiled water (100°C). For a stronger, darker cup, steep a little longer; for a lighter brew, reduce the time slightly.
